My story


My name is Berend Breman, in 2014 I moved from The Netherlands to the exciting multicultural chaotic city named Berlin. There were many more interesting things to do here than insurances and paperwork, so when a friend asked after some time if I had a liability insurance, I had to say “no”. Little did I know, this happens to one third of the citizens of German! If any of then had damaged me or my stuff I could say goodbye to any reimbursements. Sounds familiar?

Experience

Working for a global certification company in the field of sustainable biofuels, I enjoyed the privilege to meet and visit many countries and cultures around the world, including Japan, China, India, USA and Brazil.

Most interesting during these trips was to get to know the lives and stories of my colleagues and friends in those countries.

Start in the insurance field

In 2018 I started enthusiastically as a self-employed sales drone for one of the many network marketing companies Germany is proud to have in the field of insurance, luckily one which had customer satisfaction quite good in focus.

After learning the ropes I specialized in the field of private health insurance. I also found out that citizens from outside of Germany are severely neglected by the average German insurance consultant, probably because of language issues, a lack of understanding of different cultures and fear of making mistakes.

To be honest I also plainly missed working with people from all around the world. My share of foreign clients grew quickly, but I lacked the proper infrastructure for serving these clients with independent market offers, modern software and multilingual solutions.

The values of b.reassured

Therefore in the beginning of 2021 I found my own company as independent insurance broker, b.reassured. Built upon my values of quality, honesty, reliability, sustainability and social responsibility, my vision is to serve you as citizen or companies in Germany originating from different cultures and languages. I am convinced that by performing my services in this way, your stay in Germany will improve. I want that in case bad things happen in life, which statistically will to some, you do not have to worry at all. And even better, if nothing happens, that after 30 or so years here a proper capital is built up so you can have a normal retirement. By becoming a client, I want you to always feel reassured in the fields of health, insurance and capital.

A new cooperation

Of course while goals and visions are nice to have, it is something entirely else to turn them into practice. Being entirely independent and alone in the field of insurance appeared not to be difficult. A guide to the best products on the market, regular social interaction, legal support, a professional display are some examples of that what hindered me of fulfilling my vision. Therefore, after thorough consideration, I joined a cooperation of insurance brokers called Deutsches Finanzhaus GmbH. Just if that name comes up here and there, please do not wonder.
